Terms & Conditions
The subsequent terms and conditions pertain to your acquisition and reservation of a Wander Lanka package. Kindly peruse the ensuing terms and conditions attentively. To proceed with any purchase or booking, it is a prerequisite that you are 18 years of age or older and that you comprehend and concur with the ensuing terms and conditions.
Our reliance will rest on the authority vested in the individual making the booking to act as a representative for any additional travelers included in the booking. Such an individual will bind all fellow travelers to these specified terms and conditions. It is important to underscore that the individual making the booking holds ultimate authority over the reservation, including modifications and cancellations.
Agency Representation
We function exclusively as agents. Our role entails offering an array of travel services, which encompass but are not limited to flights, accommodations, coach, rail, and cruise liner services, on behalf of designated providers. Our responsibilities to you are confined to orchestrating reservations on your behalf in collaboration with these service providers.
Service Provider Accountability
It’s pertinent to note that we are not accountable for directly rendering these services to you, nor do we bear responsibility for the quality of the services provided. Should a service provider fall short in furnishing a service or if the quality of a service fails to meet your expectations, you agree that your recourse lies solely against the service provider and not against us.
Limitation of Liability
In instances of such circumstances, you expressly acknowledge that we are not liable to you for any ensuing losses. You also agree not to assert any claims for refunds, credits, or other
compensations against us, whether directly or indirectly.
Utilization of Funds
Any funds that you have remitted to us will not be held in trust for your benefit. Instead, they will be employed by us to facilitate payments to the service providers, thereby securing your travel service reservations.
Pricing and Rate Policy
Handling Price Adjustments
The rates and prices stated in both printed materials and on our official website, as well as those provided by our dedicated reservations team, are subject to availability and may be amended or withdrawn without prior notice. Adjustments to prices can occur due to factors beyond our control that lead to an increase in the cost of products or services offered by our suppliers.
Factors Affecting Price Changes
These influencing factors encompass but are not limited to unfavorable fluctuations in currency exchange rates, the imposition of fuel surcharges, upward revisions in supplier charges, changes in taxes, and escalations in airfare costs. Any alterations in price resulting from circumstances outside our jurisdiction will be reflected in your account and are due for settlement no later than 65 days before the scheduled departure. We retain the absolute discretion to implement such adjustments. In cases where suppliers permit, the potential for refunds may also be explored.
Inclusions and Exclusions
The quoted rates and prices are exclusive of expenses incurred during travel to and from the designated destination. Additionally, they do not cover expenses related to meals, alcoholic beverages (unless explicitly specified), telecommunications, personal expenditures, or services of a personal nature that are not explicitly indicated as part of the costs within the respective supplier’s product descriptions.
Initial Deposit Requirement
Upon booking, a deposit or multiple deposits will be required. Our knowledgeable consultant will provide precise information regarding the deposit amount. It’s crucial to note that submitting a deposit secures the reservation, but it does not guarantee that the final payment total will remain unchanged, as circumstances beyond our control may lead to adjustments.
Deposit Non-Refundability
All deposits are considered non-refundable, including instances where you choose to cancel the booking for any reason unless the cancellation is attributed to our negligence or breach of obligations.
Payment Methods
We also welcome credit and debit card payments as part of our accepted payment methods. However, it’s important to be aware that any associated interest linked to the card payment will be your responsibility. In cases where you’ve made a payment to us using a credit card, you hereby agree not to initiate any dispute with your credit card issuer pertaining to the transaction’s validity or the delivery of goods or services by us.
This applies particularly if a service provider is unable to deliver a service to you for any reason. It is understood that your recourse should be directed towards the respective service provider and not against our establishment. Furthermore, should you choose to raise a dispute with your credit card issuer, you acknowledge that you would be pursuing a remedy against us in violation of the terms and conditions outlined herein.
For payments made by check (including bank checks), Electronic Funds Transfer, or cash, reservation confirmation will be initiated upon successful clearance of funds. If you choose any of these payment methods, it is essential to ensure that the payment is received and cleared at least 5 business days prior to the designated payment deadline. By selecting these payment methods, you acknowledge and agree not to impede the payment process, even if you decide to cancel a booking subsequently.
You also consent to our authority to allocate the payment proceeds towards settling any outstanding liabilities you may have with us, which include potential cancellation fees. Any remaining balance following such deductions will be duly refunded to you. After making the payment, it is imperative to promptly notify your designated consultant about the completion of the payment transaction.
Modification of Booking
At any point, you have the flexibility to modify or cancel your booking by directly reaching out to our dedicated Customer Service Team at 1300307967. Please be aware that travel service providers may levy charges for cancellations or amendments, and these charges can potentially amount to 100% of the sum paid for the pertinent service, irrespective of whether your travel has commenced.
Should you opt to amend your booking, an alteration fee of $150 per person will be levied. Additionally, any supplementary amendment fees set by the respective service providers will also apply. In cases where a cancellation is pursued, a fee of $400 per person is charged. Comparable cancellation fees from service providers will also be imposed.
In scenarios where a supplier cancels a booking due to travel restrictions imposed by the Australian (Federal or State) or New Zealand governments, either for outbound, inbound international, or domestic travel, along with Quarantine Mandates, you will be offered the choice of amending your booking without incurring any fees or receiving a full refund. In the event that flight cancellations are initiated by the airline owing to COVID-19 circumstances, your booking will be subject to the prevailing airline policy applicable at the time of cancellation.
This policy might only offer the possibility of receiving a travel credit for the canceled reservation. If your booking remains unaffected by the Australian (Federal or State) or New Zealand Government’s outbound, inbound, domestic travel restrictions, or quarantine mandates and you make the decision to cancel or revise your booking, the standard terms and conditions regarding cancellation or amendment fees will hold true.
Fees for Non-Payment
In the event of non-compliance with the stipulated payment terms, any outstanding amounts owed to us will become immediately due and payable. We retain the right to impose interest charges at a rate of 3% above the 90-day bank bill rate established by The Reserve Bank of Australia per calendar month on all overdue sums. This interest accrual will apply from the date originally scheduled for payment until the actual date of settlement.
Furthermore, we reserve the right to recover from you any expenditures, costs, or disbursements incurred by us in the process of reclaiming outstanding monies. This may encompass fees associated with debt collection agencies as well as legal costs incurred in the pursuit of recovering these sums.
Additional Service Charges
We maintain the right to impose supplementary service fees beyond those levied by airlines, resorts, and other service providers for any services rendered by us that extend beyond the scope of your holiday package. These additional charges are implemented to cover various administrative and operational aspects. Examples of such fees encompass, but are not limited to, credit card surcharges, fees for last-minute bookings, processing charges, and expedited delivery fees for urgent documentation. It’s important to note that these fees are subject to change and may vary depending on the nature of the service provided.
Taxes
The Australian departure tax is duly noted on your ticket as having been settled. Please be aware that all indicated taxes are susceptible to modification until such time as the tickets are officially issued. Furthermore, any taxes associated with the package imposed by the destination country to which you are traveling will be your responsibility to cover.
Reservation Process
Reservations, even after the completion of both the deposit and final payment, remain contingent upon the receipt of confirmation from the respective service provider. This includes the issuance of tickets by the airline provider. While uncommon, there might be situations where a reservation request cannot be verified by the service provider. In such an event, you will be presented with alternatives, which could involve arrangements with an alternative service provider. These alternatives may potentially incur additional costs.
Alternatively, if permitted by the service provider, a full refund option may be extended. It is important to understand and acknowledge that any extra expenses arising from such circumstances are not the responsibility of our company, and we are not held liable for any associated supplementary costs.
Special Requirements
Kindly ensure that any seating and meal preferences are communicated during the booking process. While we strive to accommodate these requests, it’s important to note that we cannot guarantee their fulfillment due to potential availability constraints.
Flight Schedule Alterations
Airlines retain the authority to modify or cancel flight schedules at their discretion. It is incumbent upon you to proactively reach out to the airline prior to your travel to verify that the scheduled departure time remains unchanged. In the event of schedule changes, we cannot assume responsibility for such alterations, nor can we assume responsibility for any supplementary expenses incurred by you as a result of adjusting your booking to accommodate these changes. Such circumstances fall beyond our sphere of control.
Changes from Suppliers
Numerous inclusions that are integrated into various package offerings do not bear any associated costs in relation to your package purchase price; in other words, they are provided as complimentary inclusions. If you choose to cancel any component of your package, no refund will be issued, nor will there be any deduction from the overall package cost. Furthermore, in cases where any inclusions are discontinued by an operator or a particular service is not extended to you, no reimbursement will be furnished and no additional services or compensation will be provided unless expressly offered by the specific service provider responsible for that service.
In scenarios where the aforementioned inclusions cannot be provided due to any rationale, we may opt to explore alternatives, such as different dates, alternate suppliers, or replacement inclusions.
Travel Insurance
We stress the significance of obtaining travel insurance for your upcoming journey. This sentiment is shared by the Australian Government, which also highlights the importance of all travelers securing travel insurance before commencing their trips. If you opt not to acquire travel insurance through a designated provider, it’s important to understand that the associated risks and consequences of traveling without coverage fall on you. We are not accountable for any ramifications arising from the absence of travel insurance.
Travel Documentation
The term “Travel Documents” encompasses various items, including but not limited to airline tickets, hotel reservations, or any other form of documentation (whether electronic or otherwise) employed to confirm arrangements with service providers. It’s important to note that travel documents could be subject to specific terms and/or limitations, which might encompass being non-refundable, unalterable with regard to dates, and subject to fees for cancellations, re-issuance, or amendments.
All issued Travel Documents cannot be transferred to another individual.
In regard to airline tickets, they must be issued in the name of the passport or photo identification holder. Some airlines may refuse to provide transportation if the name on the ticket does not match the name on the provided passport or photo identification. This could result in the cancellation of the booking.
Ensuring that you possess all necessary Travel Documents before embarking on your journey is your responsibility. We cannot be held accountable for any loss of tickets or documentation, whether by you or a third party. Any expenses linked to the re-issuance and re-dispatch of tickets or documentation will be incurred by you. Incorrect names on a booking can lead to the booking being unusable and subsequently canceled. Any inaccuracies in names, dates, or timings on your documentation are your responsibility. Please notify us promptly of any discrepancies.
Passports and Visas
For international travel, it’s imperative that all travelers possess a valid passport. Many countries mandate that the passport remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the return date, with some also requiring it to be machine-readable. When aiding in the arrangement of international travel, we will operate under the assumption that all individuals included in the booking possess a valid Australian passport that meets the requirements for the intended destination and any transit points. If this isn’t the case, it is essential that you inform us accordingly.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you hold valid passports, visas, and re-entry permits that satisfy the prerequisites set by immigration and relevant government authorities. Any fines, penalties, costs, or expenditures resulting from inadequate travel documents not aligning with the stipulated requirements of these authorities will solely fall under your responsibility, except in cases where the fault lies with us.
Should you require information about visas, passports, and other travel document requisites for your trip, you have the option to contact an external visa provider like Visa Central (https://visalink.com.au/) directly. It’s worth noting that we cannot guarantee the accuracy or suitability of information furnished by external service providers. We bear no liability for any losses or damages you might experience based on your reliance on such information, except if such harm is caused by our own negligence.
COVID-19 Restrictions
The customer bears the responsibility of verifying the COVID-19 restrictions in place for both the departure and arrival countries. Additionally, our third-party supply partners, including airlines, hotels, and tour operators, might have supplementary restrictions that travelers need to adhere to. Ensuring that all members of your travel group satisfy these requirements remains your responsibility.
Given the fluid nature of the situation, country and state entry prerequisites, as well as the embarkation requirements of third-party suppliers, are subject to frequent changes. It is imperative that all travelers adhere to the immigration and health prerequisites of their final destination.
Vaccinations
The responsibility for meeting health requirements rests with each individual traveler. In the event that mandatory quarantine or testing is stipulated, it will be your responsibility to cover the expenses and make the necessary arrangements. Please be aware that all costs associated with the above requirements will be incurred by you.
Our consultants lack the expertise to offer vaccination advice. It’s advised that you consult your personal physician or a specialized vaccination clinic. For up-to-date information on current immunization requirements, please consult: https://www.health.gov.au/health-topics/immunisation/when-to-get-vaccinated/immunisation-for-travel
Frequent Flyer
Kindly inform your consultant about your frequent flyer membership details so they can be included in your booking. Please refer to your frequent flyer program for the specific terms of your membership. We cannot guarantee that points will be credited to your account by the supplier for your booking.
Privacy Regulations
We are steadfast in safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of personal information. For detailed information, please review our Privacy Policy.
Monetary Transactions Not Held in Trust
All payments made by you to us will be deemed the property of Wander Lanka and will represent a debt payable to the corresponding travel service provider once the pertinent service has been delivered. You recognize and consent to the understanding that such funds will not be held by us in a trust capacity on your behalf. We retain the prerogative to manage such funds in any account as deemed appropriate, including both our own and other customer accounts.
